Weekly Newsletter
August 23, 2021
Lord, as we prepare for the coming of a new semester, make us ready, attentive, and available to hear you.
Thank you for the gift of being able to rise each day with the assurance that you walk through it with us.
Thank you for the gifts of creativity and uniqueness, and the energy to put them to good use.
May all that we are today, all that we try to do today, may all our encounters, reflections, even the frustrations and failings all be placed in your hands.
May all the work we do and the way we do it bring new hope, new life, and courage to all we come in contact with this semester.
We thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Father Chris Zerucha and I welcome new students and returning students back to the University of Akron RooCatholic Campus Ministry, a young adult ministry of the Diocese of Cleveland.  “All are welcome!” “A place to belong!”  It is our hope and expectation that you will join in the activities and programs that our Leadership Team has brought together this academic year.  You will find spiritual, liturgical, social, and informational programs that may be of interest to you.
Below is a list of small groups offered by RooCatholic, which offer an opportunity for you to meet members of RooCatholic that share the same interests and will provide opportunities for discussion and social interaction. The Leadership Team is also working on other offerings and activities to keep you coming back to RooCatholic throughout the semester.
We have found that the best means of sharing the RooCatholic Experience is to provide you with this Weekly Newsletter that will keep you informed of the activities and programs you might wish to attend.
Again, Welcome to the RooCatholic Experience! God bless!
~John Szarwark, Newman Campus Minister
