Our Prayer for you as you return to your studies and to RooCatholic:
“Each day, each year, God begins anew…planting with us the seed, the promise, God’s NOW self. May our journey together give birth each day to the love, which will heal and transform our world. May the Lord bless and keep each of you, and your families.”
We hope that your time away celebrating the Christmas holiday was all that you hoped it would be. Family, friends and some time spent in relaxation and fun.
At present, with the current guidelines of the University still in place, all activities of RooCatholic will continue to be held remotely for the time being. Wednesday evening activities will also be virtual at this time. Check out our website, as well as our Facebook and Instagram accounts, for these activities. Small group activities will begin the week of January 11. A listing of these groups' remote activities and meeting times follows below.
In collaboration with the Diocese of Cleveland, a NEW small group has been added to our listing known as Alpha. Beginning January 26, this group will meet virtually on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal Catholic environment. Along with RooCatholic members, the group will also include facilitation from 3rd year Seminarians studying for the priesthood in the Diocese of Cleveland.
Lastly, as “Missionary Disciples,” it would not be right to ignore the happenings of the past week as related to our country. I would ask that we all PRAY for a peaceful solution in the minds of those involved and keep the ideals of our Faith and country as a peaceful outcome.
Welcome back to RooCatholic!
Sincerely,
John Szarwark,
Newman Campus Minister
