Adfent ~ Advent

Dw i ysgrifennu atoch o’r Nant Gwyrtheyrn ar cwrs iaith gwaith gyda tiwtor Siôn Aled a rhai clerigion eraill yr esgobaeth.

Ga i ddweud yn gyntaf diolch o galon am eich caredigrwydd dros Parch Selwyn yn ystod ei hamser gyda ni. Dw i’n gwybod mae o’n drist i mynd, ond yn gadael â atgofion dda.

Mae’r Adfent yn un o dymhorau hyfrytaf yr eglwys. Mae’n adeg o aros a llawenhau, o ddisgwyl a dyheu, o baratoi ac edrych ymlaen am yr hyn nas gwireddwyd eto.

Mae’n dymor sydd yn gyforiog o obaith.

Wnewch chi weddïo dros y Ceisiwr Lloches yn Dolgarrog?

Sut galla i Roi?

RHOI YN SYTH

I’m writing to you from Nant Gwyrtheyrn on a course for Welsh language at work with tutor Siôn Aled and some of the clergy from the diocese.

May I say a heartfelt thank you for your kindness towards Selwyn during his time with us.  I know he is sad to leave, but goes with fond memories.

Advent is a beautiful season of the church. It is a time of anticipation and joy, waiting and longing, preparation and unfulfilled expectancy.

It is a season pregnant with hope.

Will you pray for the Asylum Seekers in Dolgarrog? We will open the church in Dolgarrog between 10am and 11am and between 7pm and 9pm for any contributions of clothing etc (See the list below) We will also be sorting these on a Tuesday evening. All are welcome to join us.

How can I Give?

GIFT DIRECT

As we begin Advent and winter begins to bite….

If most people know Christina Rossetti’s ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’, fewer appreciate the range and depth of her poetry. Join Rachel Mann, as she explores how Rossetti speaks into modern anxieties and what kind of hope God offers to us.

Rachel Mann is a priest, poet and theologian. Her books include ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’, published this summer.

Read about cycling to church in the Church Times
"We believe in inclusive Church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ."
