Sensationally squishy yarn & special friends to mind your ends. 🐑
Greetings, dear readers! 😊
Today's newsletter is all about getting ready for our April 16th cast-on. In case you missed the news, Cavorting With Colors will be an exuberant event as we all welcome in spring with our stitches. I knew that only the most brilliant colorways would do for such a festive MKAL affair, so I've enlisted the help of my friends at Anzula to create a trio of kits to appeal to stitchers of all sorts. Let's get to know them!
Now, when I first put these kits together, I'd have to say that the Garden Pond set pictured in today's header was my favorite. However, once I saw that the Flower Garden palette was the most popular by far, I had to cake one up for myself to try it out!
I love how marigolds, lilacs, roses, and irises all come together for one beautiful bouquet. 💐
Garden Pond is a combination of three of my favorite colors -- aqua, blue-green, and teal. I can't wait for you to see how these mini skeins make a splash against that deep, dark, gray.
Did you know that each kit includes a copy of the MKAL pattern and a special assorted set of end minders? You'll be making new friends both on and off the needles! 💙
We haven't even cast on yet and I'm already making plans for the finished #ShawlPinStyle. Stepping Stones is the soft neutral set of the bunch, and I can't decide if I'll stick with the marvelous monochromatic look with my Grey Shimmer or accent my piece with a pop of color.
We have a bit of time to figure that out though...four weeks until cast-on! 🧶
Whether you choose your favorite kit or go on a fun stash dive, I so hope that you'll join me for my first MKAL of 2021. Creating is always more fun when there's a community to share the joy with!
Today's closing pictures include a rather majestic bit of fluff who was monopolizing my photography window the other day and a little experiment I'm trying with my Imperfect End Minders. I'll be putting together a few limited edition sets (like Pretty in Pink here) for an affordable way to grow your herd. Do you have any color requests? 🐑
