We're curious, how many of you fell in love with leather this month?

We sure did. This leather clutch project designed by Miranda Anderson was the perfect introduction to the wide world of leather craft. Pairing her brilliant workshop with the versatile (and sometimes 'ah ha!') tools included in this month - waxed thread, anyone? - gave the foundation to continue on with more leather working. This? These? Or maybe even this? More leather working inspiration can be found in our monthly Pinterest board, too. (Did you know we build one each month and fill it with wonderful ideas to keep the creativity going? Be sure to check it out.)

What did you enjoy most about this project?
My favorite part of this project was punching the holes with my daughter.

What is your favorite crafting medium?
My favorite material to craft with is paper!! I make handmade cards so paper is so vital to my work. I love pairing my paper with ink and/or watercolors!

Who inspires you on social media?
Eric Landon, @tortus_copenhagen, he makes the most beautiful handmade ceramics vases. I found him on Instagram and can't get enough of his process, its amazing.

What do you plan to use your new skills for next?
I would love to make a couple more clutches as gifts for my sisters. They would love it. I also want to try and make the art pouch Miranda shared with us [during the Live Q&A]. That was cute and I can see it hanging in my craft corner.

What new crafting trend are you dying to try?
I would love to try jewelry making. I can see me creating a bracelet or necklace for my daughter and I.

Did you keep your project or gift it?
I kept my clutch!! I love it. I went to a graduation and brought it with me and my family members were amazed that I made the clutch myself.

Our Maker Community in a Nutshell:

The Crafter's Box has brought together experienced makers and has asked them to curate a unique box of tools and materials to build something beautiful. We'll release one a month with a delivery to your door, and pair that with an online workshop, podcast, Q&A artist session, and forum within our online community.
