UPCOMING EVENTS
Landscaping with Colorado Native Plants Conference
Saturday, February 11, 9am-5pm at The Ranch Events Center in Loveland!
Learn how to create a beautiful native landscape from the ground up!
Topics will include:
  • Native plant options for your specific region of CO
  • Both in-depth and basics of design
  • Propagation of natives
  • And more!

The Landscaping with Colorado Native Plants Conference promotes the inclusion of native plants in our landscaping to benefit pollinators and songbirds, save water, and restore the beauty and health of nature in the places we live, work and play.

While we recommend the use of straight species and local ecotypes wherever possible, we support the use of varieties and cultivars of native species as long as their breeding doesn’t interfere with their ability to function in nature and maintain key relationships with pollinators and other lives.

Wildscaping Ambassador Train-the-Trainer 2017 Workshops Announced

Audubon Rockies formed a partnership with Colorado Native Plant Society and High Plains Environmental Center to solidify a speaker’s bureau. Our pilot Wildscape Ambassador Train-the-Trainer workshops were a success—53 volunteers were trained on spreading the word about actively restoring natural habitat for birds, butterflies, and other pollinators by implementing water-wise and native gardens on our landscapes.  We provided these future ambassadors with the tools of the trade, including how to present to a local garden center/nursery, HOA, library, community organization etc… on the importance of creating native plant gardens, that not only create a welcome place for birds, but benefit the environment and our communities too!
**Special Notes: Attendees will receive a Wildscape Ambassador Handbook and invitation to our network sharing platform. Food provided.

We are now excited to announce these dates and locations for our 2017 workshops.  Registration links are below.
