St. Louis in Buffalo Steaming Towards Parish Goal

St. Louis in Buffalo had an impressive week, as Msgr. Salvatore Manganello reports a 10% jump towards his parish’s goal.  Although Msgr. Sal had been on vacation the week prior, he hit the ground running upon his return, raising $98,500 from 7 gifts.  The parish now stands at 73% of its goal.

We spoke with Msgr. Sal who attributes the success of the campaign to his generous parishioners.  “It is not surprising that they have responded so well to the Upon This Rock endeavor”, he says, “I am most grateful to all of the St. Louis parishioners who have responded so positively to this initiative and know that others will also help support the future of the Church.”

Despite an already busy Holy Week schedule, Msgr. Sal will continue to meet with parishioners this week to discuss Upon This Rock, including 1 initial visit and 7 follow-up appointments.  Following Easter, the parish will host a few receptions leading into their Public Announcement.  St. Louis will dedicate its parish share to improving accessibility on its grounds, including a lift to go down to the Parish Hall and enclosing the side ramp of the church.

Congratulations again to Msgr. Sal and all of the parishioners at St. Louis in Buffalo!

A Prayer for Upon This Rock

Loving God, we come to You,
standing together in faith,
ready to realize the freshness of a bold endeavor,
as we look to the future of our Church.

Building up the Kingdom of God on earth is Your will and our privilege.
Bless our efforts with the energy and enthusiasm we need.

Jesus, our Redeemer,
encourage and guide us.
Open our hearts to be good stewards because of our love for You.

Holy Spirit, our Sanctifier,
empower us to carry out Your will for the Upon This Rock campaign.

May Your Goodness be upon us,
And give us success to the work of our hands and hearts.

We ask Your blessing now and always
through Christ Our Lord.

Amen!
