STRENGTH IN FAITH!
Blessed Trinity began their Upon This Rock campaign over a month ago and with the support of the parishioners they have reached goal before their first Commitment Weekend! Fr. Reger reports that the parish has raised $55,000 this week from 6 generous gifts, which pushed the total goal to $225,000, 106% of goal. With two Commitment Weekends coming up, 55% of any additional funds raised from them will go directly to the parish!
We spoke with Fr. Reger about the momentum he has been seeing at Blessed Trinity and the support that he has been receiving from the parish. He stated, “The conversations I’ve had with parishioners, about the scope of sacrificial giving in their lives, intensified the pastor-parishioner bond – all of which I did not expect.” He feels blessed for the support his parishioners have shown; this campaign has brought the parish closer together. Fr. Reger is hosting a Kick Off Reception this week and will announce the good news to everyone at the event.
With the parish’s share, Blessed Trinity plans to restore the skylight over the altar, the handicap ramp and the copper roof on the east side of the church. Additionally, the parish will renovate the entire front porch and steps of the church.
Congratulations to everyone at Blessed Trinity for your parish’s strong start!
Starting this week, Upon This Rock will be producing a podcast to give people in our community a chance to hear stories from other parishes that would otherwise never be heard. These podcasts will be posted every Friday and can be found through our website: http://www.uponthisrockwny.org. This week, we are kicking off the first episode with an interview with Bishop Malone!
