With the help of Deacon Francis W. Pasquale, Jr. and the Ambassadors, St. Mary had reached goal before their first Commitment Weekend! The dedication of the parishioners never stopped even after reaching the parish goal. Dcn. Pasquale commends the members of the parish saying that “they have a great catholic faith, love for their churches and belief in one another... They know that there are many needs within their parish community, and truly realize that the church does not end at their front doors.” The faith the parishioners have for the campaign shows as they raised $97,000, raising the goal to 162% from 30 gifts.
In Belmont, Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph raised $99,650, or 142% from 38 gifts. The generosity of the parishioners was remarkable as they worked together to raise 67% of their goal at the first Commitment Weekend! The parish understood Dcn. Pasquale’s message, that “the campaign was for the community, a chance to help our neighbors as well as ourselves.” Upon This Rock was a chance to not only give back to the community but to others in the Diocese of Buffalo.
Dcn. Pasquale would like to thank everyone at these two parishes for answering the call. “It has been a pleasure to serve as Pastoral Administrator for the churches of St. Mary and Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Even though these catholic communities are relatively small compared to most suburb and city churches, they are large in both heart and spiritual devotion.” Congratulations to everyone involved with Upon This Rock at St. Mary and Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
If you would like to hear more from Dcn. Pasquale, tune in Friday for Together in Faith as we speak with him about the campaign.
