Upon This Rock continues moving forward as Block 2 surpassed 50% this month! It is all thanks to the tremendous display of commitment from the parishes in Block 2 to bring us half way to the ultimate goal. It was in part thanks to Our Lady of Angels in Cuba, who had surpassed their goal this week! They raised a total of $167,480, from 33 gifts, reaching 105% of goal.

Fr. Mancuso commends the momentum he has been seeing and what the future holds for Our Lady of the Angels, said, “The parishioners were very generous about coming forward. They recognize that they want the church to continue to spread the Catholic faith and not just here at the parish but in the Diocese of Buffalo for the next generation.” He attributes the success to his parishioners understanding the importance of the Upon This Rock initiative. With the funds, the parish will be able to conduct outreach to young families and invite them to come back into the life of the church.

A Prayer for Upon This Rock

Loving God, we come to You,
standing together in faith,
ready to realize the freshness of a bold endeavor,
as we look to the future of our Church.

Building up the Kingdom of God on earth is Your will and our privilege.
Bless our efforts with the energy and enthusiasm we need.

Jesus, our Redeemer,
encourage and guide us.
Open our hearts to be good stewards because of our love for You.

Holy Spirit, our Sanctifier,
empower us to carry out Your will for the Upon This Rock campaign.

May Your Goodness be upon us,
And give us success to the work of our hands and hearts.

We ask Your blessing now and always
through Christ Our Lord.
