Strength in Numbers

This time of year calls us to reflect on the many blessings that we have been provided.  All of us at Upon This Rock want to thank you, our pastors, staff, volunteers, and parishioners across WNY, for your continued support.
Upon This Rock has plenty to be thankful for.  We are thankful for the 65 parishes from all across the diocese that have completed or are in the process of running a campaign.  We are thankful for the more than 12,000 families that have met with their pastors, clergy, or ambassadors to learn about this historic initiative and decided to make a gift.  We are thankful that we are nearly a quarter away from our goal, having already raised over $74 million, which will benefit each of the campaign’s vital programs and endowments.  Most importantly, however, we are thankful for this 1 dedicated community that has come together to build a stronger future for Church in Western New York.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the countless ways you have contributed to Upon This Rock.  We wish you and your family a safe and happy Thanksgiving this Thursday – you are all in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

A Prayer for Upon This Rock

Loving God, we come to You,
standing together in faith,
ready to realize the freshness of a bold endeavor,
as we look to the future of our Church.

Building up the Kingdom of God on earth is Your will and our privilege.
Bless our efforts with the energy and enthusiasm we need.

Jesus, our Redeemer,
encourage and guide us.
Open our hearts to be good stewards because of our love for You.

Holy Spirit, our Sanctifier,
empower us to carry out Your will for the Upon This Rock campaign.

May Your Goodness be upon us,
And give us success to the work of our hands and hearts.

We ask Your blessing now and always
through Christ Our Lord.
