St. Peter in Lewiston Surpasses $1,000,000 and Announces Combined Campaign
Last week, Msgr. David LiPuma announced that his parishioners had already raised $1,015,000 from 29 gifts. The parish’s goal is set for $2,000,000, meaning the church is at 51% of their benchmark overall. Msgr. LiPuma, pastor at St. Peter is proud to see these accomplishments thus far.
St. Peter in Lewiston is also the first of the Upon This Rock parishes to participate in a Combined Campaign. The Diocese of Buffalo has recognized that some parishes may have extraordinary local fund-raising needs and wish to consider raising capital funds for parish needs in conjunction with Upon This Rock during the established timetable.
"While our parish has a solid financial base at this time," Msgr. LiPuma shared with us last year, "we are exploring the possibility of making significant improvements and renovations to our parish hall, school and church." He added, "these improvements would greatly improve the handicap accessibility of our facilities."
We will continue to report on the success happening at St. Peter and any additional Combined Campaign parishes in our weekly newsletter as we move forward in the Upon This Rock initiative.
