St. Michael Parish, Warsaw Thrives as Parishioners Support the Upon This Rock Initiative

Following Holy Week, Fr. James Hartwell saw a swell of parishioner support for Upon This Rock.  In one week’s time, St. Michael Parish in Warsaw collected 9 gifts, bringing in nearly 20% of its goal.  Overall, Fr. Jim has received 83% of the parish's goal from 34 gifts, totaling $219,925.  “This goal is actually achievable,” Fr. Jim shared, “Parishioners are pleasantly surprised and encouraged to continue supporting the campaign”
With the parish’s 35% share of gifts raised, St. Michael Parish plans to make necessary renovations and relocate offices to the Parish Hall.  Additionally, the parish will upgrade its heating system so it’s more efficient and cost-effective.
As St. Michael is still in the early stages of Upon This Rock, Fr. Jim only has received gifts through personal visits but is excited to publicly announce the campaign and its broader mission to his congregation.  “This has been interesting for a lot of people,” he said, “in many cases they didn't know just how far-reaching the ministries of the Diocese of Buffalo could extend.”  The parish will hold its first reception next Monday, April 11.
Congratulations to Fr. Jim and everyone at St. Michael Parish who have contributed to the campaign thus far!
