Laying the Groundwork for a Stronger Community
This past week, Fr. Lawrence Cobel announced that his parishioners at St. Aloysius in Springville had exceeded their campaign goal by $57,505. This incredible success is indicative of the parishioners’ dedication to improving facilities at St. Aloysius, thus bettering their parish community.
With the funds raised from Upon This Rock, St. Aloysius will address a number of capital projects, including roof repairs on all of their buildings, painting the rectory, and repairing the now sinking floor in their Parish Hall. The repair of the Parish Hall is particularly significant, as it serves as a centerpiece for St. Aloysius - where church groups, school students, and various ministries gather for countless events and activities, growing together as a faith community. Numerous parishioners have already expressed their anticipation for these new changes to come to fruition!
Fr. Cobel can't stress enough his appreciation to all of the parishioners who supported Upon This Rock in any way throughout their parish campaign. St. Aloysius’s Commitment Weekend on September 10 and 11 raised over $70,000 from 31 families. The parish had its second Commitment Weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. Read next week’s newsletter to find out their results.
Many congratulations again to Fr. Cobel and everyone at St. Aloysius Parish in Springville!
