Competitions are a great way to get noticed - I got published after winning a Northern Writers Award
If you're a young writer aged between 7 and 17 the take a look at this competition organised by Rotary International: all you have to do is produce a written or typed story in prose entitled, ‘Reflection’.
The written entry could be fiction or non-fiction, a story or a poem, as long as the piece relates to the theme.
The competition is open all schools and college communities including those that are home educated and any other young people’s community organisations, for example, community RotaKids, community Interact, Scout Groups, Girl Guides.
This competition aims to encourage young people to:
- Use their writing skills
- Write with imagination and creativity
