Tis the season for winter weather which mean delays and snow days! We just wanted to review the procedures for winter weather. We work closely with the Mason road agent to get information on road conditions. Mason road conditions are often different than surrounding towns, including Milford. Once the decision to delay or cancel school is made, a call and email will go out to all families. This decision is typically made by 5:30 am. We will also post our status on WMUR. You can access school closings on the TV or the WMUR website/app. There will also be a message on the school’s answering machine. If we have a two hour delay, school will start at 11 am and there will be no preschool. Bus pick up times will be two hours later than normal.
There are times that Mason closes and Milford does not. If this is the case there will be no bus transportation for Mason students due to roads not being safe for bus travel. Mason students that attend Milford middle or high school will have an excused absence or families can choose to drive their children to school if they feel it is safe to do so.
We are hoping we won’t need to deal with delays and snow days too soon but it is 2020 so anything is possible!
