Dean’s Message

Happy new year! We are excited to welcome you back to campus for Spring 2018.

In this edition, we put the spotlight on student success. Our students are getting competitive internships – many of which lead to permanent jobs.

Our faculty members are also making headlines! Renowned bridge expert Atorod Azizinamini spoke to Academic Minute about repairing the nation’s bridges. And, our new IoT degree was in the news.

Please, mark your calendars for February 1st for our first Graduate Program Retreat. FIU’s College of Engineering & Computing offers many scholarships and fellowships to eligible graduate students. This is a great opportunity for prospective grad students to find out what’s available.

Let’s make it a great year!
