Happy Labor Day!
We hope you and your family are getting some well needed rest as you prepare for the fall. As always, we are praying for you and are here to help you with whatever you need from us. Thank you for your partnership! Here are the announcements for September. We are excited for what September entails for KidzMin and our KidzMin Families!
KidzMin is Reopening! - Sep. 13
We are excited to announce that KidzMin will be re-opening September 13, 2020. KidzMin will not look the same as it has in the past, so please take a minute to read about our re-opening plan.
- KidzMin will be offered during the 9AM service hour only.
- Reservations Required! Just like reserving your seat on a Sunday morning for worship, we will be asking families to reserve their spot for their children in KidzMin.
- Preschool Classrooms will be open for children 15 months to 5 years of age.
- Preschool Classrooms will be limited to six children per room.
- A max of 50 Kindergarten through 5th Graders will be encouraged to attend Large Group held in Hall A, B and C.
- Large Group will be dismissed from service right before the sermon begins (in the past kids were dismissed after the ministry report).
- Children will stay in Large Group and NOT dismiss to small group classrooms.
- Children will be seated in Large Group in single chairs, spaced according to safety standards.
- When in transition from the Worship Service to Large Group, we will strongly encourage children in Kindergarten - 5th Grade to wear face masks.
All of our volunteers serving in KidzMin will be wearing masks and following our safety guidelines in order to serve. Additional cleaning will take place throughout the morning as well. Your children's safety is of the upmost importance to our team.
More details and information will be provided in the coming weeks as we continue to plan and create policy. We however did want to inform families that we are excited to open our doors again and worship with your children.

PCC is also seeking to hire a Childcare Coordinator that will oversee the childcare workers and special childcare events hosted by PCC. Interested applicants should contact Amanda Smith at email@example.com for job description and application.
Child Dedications - September 27
The Bible tells us that children are gifts to prepare (and dedicate) as arrows for the Lord’s service. Our children belong first and foremost to their loving Creator who has designated us as temporary stewards. Furthermore, we as the church body are called to partner with all the families in our congregation to own the discipleship of each child. In essence, both of these (parental stewardship and communal partnership) are accomplished in public dedication.
If you would like to publicly dedicate your child to the Lord on Sunday, September 27, please let us know. All parents wishing to dedicate their children need to meet with a ministry leader to discuss the Child Dedication Study Sheet prior to the service. If you have any questions, please email Edward Murray.
Deployed Family Assitance
KidzMin families - we would like to encourage you to support families that have a spouse who is deployed. Interested in learning more? Sign up at bit.ly/pccdeployed or email Heather Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Family Discipleship 101
In this interview, Adam Griffin, coauthor of Family Discipleship: Leading Your Home through Time, Moments, and Milestones, discusses what it looks like for parents to prioritize the important but mostly ordinary spiritual leadership of their family. He debunks common misconceptions about what family discipleship has to look like, highlights the importance of cultivating a culture of joy and fun in the home, and offers parents a simple framework for intentionally training their kids to view their lives through the lens of the gospel.

Discipling your family can feel like an intimidating task, but it doesn’t need to be overwhelming or complicated. With a simple plan in place, discipleship is something every parent can do. Pastors Matt Chandler and Adam Griffin have made it their mission to help you develop a sustainable rhythm of gospel-centered discipleship focused in three key areas: time, moments, and milestones. Filled with suggestions, sample plans, and Scripture references, this book begins with the end in mind—equipping you to create a unique plan for your family as you raise your children in the love and fear of the Lord.
