Health for Work Adviceline
A free adviceline providing small businesses in England with confidential guidance on improving the health and well-being of their staff has been formally re-launched following a successful pilot.

The Health for Work Adviceline provides expert advice on managing occupational health problems and tackling sickness absence. As well as offering a free telephone helpline, the service has been expanded to include an online knowledge database and a facility for submitting questions or chatting online with advisers.

The top 5 reasons for to contact the Adviceline:

1. A team member is off on long-term sickness absence
2. You suspect you may be experiencing staff truancy
3. You are unsure about terminating someone’s employment due to chronic illness
4. You are worried about a staff injury at work
5. You are unsure whether you can contact an employee’s GP
