What is PowerOn Week?PowerOn Week is the official launch of the EFLS activities for the year. It is also an opportunity for the EFLS to engage with our community and recruit new volunteers. Over 26 years, the EFLS has raised more than $1.3 Million dollars for the Little Silver district. That's right, $1.3 Million dollars! All thanks to the countless volunteers that have shown up and put in the hard work, not to mention the generosity of our Family and Corporate Sponsors.
During PowerOn Week, please join us at one (or more!) of our events where trustees will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. We will also be sharing about the important grants we were able to provided the district this school year through the support of our sponsors. Oh, and can we mention again? You can win an awesome gift basket, including an Instant Pot and CBD for Life products, just for stopping by our table or attending a socially distant event! Check out the schedule below!

We'd like to introduce you to our new Vice President, Dana Galkin. Dana officially joined the EFLS last year when her twins, Julianna and Jacob, were in first grade but has been volunteering with the organization since they began Kindergarten at Point Road. Dana and her husband Scott are both very involved in our community. Dana can be found volunteering at events for the PTO, EFLS or Point Road School throughout the year and Scott coaches multiple sports teams. Dana is a lover of the arts and the whole family are avid sports fans.
This year Dana has decided to take on more responsibility within the EFLS by stepping into the VP role. Growing up with a mother who was a public school teacher, the importance of a public school education was reinforced at a young age. As her friends already know, Dana is loyal, passionate, and energetic. Always excited to step up and get to work. The EFLS is lucky to have her on board and we look forward to seeing what she has in store for us! Please join us in congratulating Dana on her new role. The Little Silver schools are lucky to have her on board to help provide our students and administration with the resources necessary to succeed.
Dana is also in charge of the EFLS PowerON Week, which kicks off Tuesday, October 13th. Please join us for one of our many informational/ social events to learn more about how the EFLS has partnered with our district.
All are welcome! We are looking forward to meeting you and sharing our story.
