TAKE ACTION: Sign on by 6/12 to Oppose the Yazoo Pumps
Please join with fellow Water Protection Network members fighting the disastrous Yazoo Pumps project by signing on to this group letter by Friday, June 12.
The Corps of Engineers is again pushing the Yazoo Pumps project - a disastrous and expensive project opposed by many WPN members for years. This project would destroy tens of thousands of acres of wetlands and create a precedent that threatens our ability to protect waters and public health across the country. The Corps is attempting to build the same project that was vetoed in 2008 under Clean Water Act 404(c), and the Corps has announced that the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) will not look at any alternatives in direct violation of the National Environmental Policy Act. Please consider adding your organization to this group letter to stop the Yazoo Pumps, and please encourage colleagues at partner organizations to sign the letter, too.
