Ola! My husband and I just returned last week from a wonderful adventure to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Last year, when we were planning Bonnie's wedding in D.C., we knew there would be a celebration in Brazil for those who could not make the journey to The States. I dare say Jeff and I would not have made this trip to Brazil if not for Bonnie and Filipe's marriage, and I am so glad we had this opportunity.
We stayed in the heart of the city. Sao Paulo is a melting pot, and the museums and food choices showcased this. We packed a lot into nine days. I learned to love the city through the eyes of my son-in-law and my daughter. We visited top-rated art museums, dined on multi-cultural cuisine, sipped fresh fruit drinks, relaxed at late night spots with football (soccer) on every TV, and enjoyed a day at Ibirapuera Park (the most well-known park in Latin America) just to name a few things. You can guess I needed a few espressos to keep up!
We celebrated Bonnie and Filipe's wedding in Brazilian style surrounded by hospitality akin to what we have here in the South. For now, tchau to Sao Paulo and obrigada to good memories. - Jackie
