After coordinating the youth camp, Caleb’s time has focused on business-related aspects of our Knysna Hope organization and team. This has centered on two main areas this month: developing websites and consulting on business plans for national, bi-vocational pastors and researching and developing recurring, sustainable funding sources for Knysna Hope. Related to this, as we mentioned in our last update, we have a unique opportunity to develop a piece of land here in Knysna. Our long-term vision for this land is to build a community center, concert hall, and classrooms/conference rooms for pastoral training, all through a commercially viable business plan. We hope to have more details over the next couple weeks.
In addition to our daily study and weekly tutoring in Afrikaans, Terrah is hosting a weekly Bible study for pre-teen/teen girls, and we plan to host a home group study by the end of February. We have been privileged to be involved with a local ministry, teaching Biblical and practical principles of personal support-raising. It was such a joy and encouragement to revisit some of our own journey of the past year and a half, sharing stories of how miraculously God provided for us to be here in South Africa. We are honored that many of you reading this are part of that story, that you took a leap of faith with us, and are partnering with us for the spread of the Gospel. If you’ve been contemplating coming onto our team, we would love to have you be part of God’s story here in Knysna!
