SA90 LP Cover
SA90- Johnny On The Phone LP ~AVENGERS!
-SA90 are a newer band from Santa Cruz taking their name from a type of TDK High Bias cassette tape that many of the band members probably used when they were younger. After a self released EP, SA90 are back with their debut LP here. On ‘Johnny On The Phone’ they develop their style of aggressive Dangerhouse Records punk meets early 80s SoCal hardcore even further and it's a beast. SA90 are one of those bands that kind of fall in that fertile little gap between punk and hardcore. Their music is tough driving hardcore in song structure, density, and execution, but the vocals are big and melodic with a healthy dose of punk snot and aggression. Penelope Houston from the Avengers would be a pretty apt vocal comparison with a burly backing band that sounds like they include members of the Bags, Circle Jerks and the Nuns. The record cover is a nice homage to the classic ‘Rodney On The Roq: Volume 2’ compilation, so it’s no surprise that Rodney Bingenheimer has been spinning this one like crazy. The LP also includes an insert with lyrics, credits, and photos and they’re pressed on various shades of colored wax. Recommended.

Jibaros 7" Cover
Jibaros- Parranda! 7” ~VERY RARE / 150 PRESSED!
-This is some bad ass Rock ‘n Roll from Spains Jibaros who formed out of the ashes of the Zombie Valentines. The A side includes a surf infused Riff ‘n Roll gem with some slick 50’s sounding guitar licks that’s a barrel of fun. The B-side fires back with a hard chuggin’ rocker that sounds like a revved up Real Kids meets the Devils Dogs with super catchy vocals and more of their signature red hot guitar work on display. Fun single. THESE ARE VERY HARD TO FIND! ONLY 150 COPIES WERE PRESSED WORLD WIDE! 1 PER ORDER ON THESE! Import from Spain.

V/A- Brazilian Nuggets LP Cover
V/A- Brazilian Nuggets (Back From The Jungle Vol. 3) LP ~REISSUE!
-This is the third volume of the successful Brazilian Nuggets series put out by Groovie Records. As usual, it gathers oddities, surf, beat, fuzz, garage rock and weirdo stuff that only crazy cats like Edgar Raposo and Luís Futre, the dynamic duo behind that label, are able to track down. As you might realize, all the tracks featured in this volume were taken from very hard to find singles, EP’s and LP’s that were certainly forgotten over the years and very hard to find today.  Besides the well known bands The Brazilian Bitles and The Beatniks, whose labels, Polydor and Mocambo, were  well established names in the recording industry at the time. Most of Volume 3 brings to the fore obscure artists and bands whose recordings come from highly obscure labels such as Tema, Leão Disc, Signoma, Orange (a parody to the Beatles’ own Apple label), Astor, Hollywood Discos, RCS and Disco Som. These labels were usually too small to obtain national distribution deals for their records, so many releases were regional, pressed in small quantities and became instant rarities. If it wasn't for the record collectors themselves and  Groovie Records keen eye; these rarities, released during the second half of the sixties in Brazil and known only to a handful of collectors, would have been lost forever. Liner notes, rare photos and record covers are also included in this reissue for your delight with cool looking cover art by Darren Merinuk.  Import from Portugal on Groovie Records.

Electric Mess LP Cover
Electric Mess- Falling Off The Face Of The Earth LP ~GROOVIE RECORDS!
-Since forming, New York City’s The Electric Mess, has developed into a pretty exciting rock n' roll band.    ‘Falling Off The Face Of The Earth’ is their second album and shows a wide range of influences including British Invasion, 60's garage, R&B, and psych; but it sure ain't a mess.  These guys a very tight unit with a strong bunch of tunes possessing an electric, melodic edge.  The 13 songs on this LP shine with ear-piercing Farfisa, raucous guitars, driving rhythms and sneering vocals echoing the surge of original garage punk that rocked a thousand suburban basements decades earlier. Great original songs, blazing guitar riffs with neo-psych shades make this one a winner all around.  Mastered by punk legend Ivan Julian of Richard Hell and the Voidoids.  Import from Portugal on Groovie Records.
Thunder Rocks LP Cover
Thunder Rocks- On The Rampage LP ~REISSUE!
-This is a nice collection of 12 stompin’ tracks by this Detroit area Rock ‘n Roll band from the late ‘50s and early ‘60s. ‘On The Rampage’ contains 12 smokin’ cuts including the songs from their first 3 45s, the the two songs they recorded with Fred Farah and the Hitch Hikers and a few unreleased tracks. An insert tells the story of the band with lots of photos and other Thunder Rocks memorabilia. A throrough reissue on beefy 180 gram wax!

Electric Frankenstein 10" Cover
Electric Frankenstein- Sick Songs 10" ~RARE YELLOW WAX!
-Electric Frankenstein just cant fail. This album is chock full of rock and roll energy that you just cant live without. Weather you are a fan of punk or rock music, this is the best of both worlds at it’s finest. Songs like "Learn To Burn", and "Born Wild" will become a few of your favorites, as they have become a few of mine. If you like the Stooges, Dead Boys, Slaughter and the Dogs or Radio Birdman, you must own this album. It’s my favorite from EF and these songs are with singer Scott from Hollywood Hate, so they’re a little more burly than the stuff Steve Miller sang on. Phenomenally snotty vocals, loud 3 chord guitar action given the EF treatment. And some pretty nice cover art to boot! THESE ARE ON THE LIMITED YELLOW WAX!

Their talented songwriting and in-depth knowledge of pop history made its rare recordings a treasure for all pop fans world wide. This is the final single from The Shambles and the band unearthed these unreleased recordings that never saw the light of day. The single includes three songs showing The Shambles in a rawer and more energetic setting. A must for the Shambles fan, as it contains the very last song that the band recorded and it’s a driving thunder pop stunner. Shaking Heads LP Cover
Shaking Heads- S/T LP ~TERRIBLE FEELINGS!
-After a great demo tape Sweden’s Shaking Heads are back with their first long player. This four piece creates some pretty captivating music. The band is fronted by Jenny who has a really strong vocal presence. She sings melodically loud and proud giving their songs a slight poppy edge, while the backing band carries the tunes with a driving punk rock force. The occasional surf riff sneaks in here and there and a few of the songs strut with a wirey post punk grit that definitely keep your ears on their toes. All ten of these songs are very well written and sound like a culmination of Terrible Feelings, the Go-Gos and Gang Of Four. Fun listen. Import from Sweden.

Cynics LP Cover
Cynics- Spinning Wheel Motel LP ~W/ DIE CUT SPINNING COVER!
-Latest and probably BEST ever album by Pittsburgh Garage-Punk legends! The Cynics latest release is a spinning, whirling, joyous dance into rock n’ roll’s riff heavy traditions and opens with a massive swath of guitar power. “I Need More” immediately projects the wealth of musical textures and colors that the Cynics are known for and abounds in Gregg Kostelich’s carefully chosen guitar licks playing off of Michael Kastelic’s timely lyrical wit. Fans have come to marvel at the kind of thoughtful revelations lurking within Michael’s lyrics and Gregg’s thunderous guitar sounds and that’s no better present than on this 10 song heavy hitter. Decades pass and cymbals crash, and it’s record like this that keep me coming back to the Cynics. And it’s not just the tunes that make this one stand out. The packaging is downright amazing. It has a spinning wheel inside of the Gatefold cover, so you can see different things peering through the three die cut shapes on the cover as 7ou spin the wheel around. Very cool packaging and recorded at Ghetto recorders in Detroit and produced by Jim Diamond! THIS IS THE LIMITED VERSION OF THIS LP ON RED AND BLACK SPLIT COLORED WAX!

Kinn-ocks CD Cover
Ubangis 7" Cover
Ubangis- I Want Your Blood 7” ~EX SLICKEE BOYS!
-This is a nice slice of raunch from the early 90’s. The Ubangis belt out pretty trashy Rock ‘n Roll sleaze from Washington, DC featuring legendary Slickee Boys guitarist Kim Kane and Date Bait’s singer Brian Horrorwitz. Four songs of raunch-erific indecency on this one. Import from Austria.
Crimson Ghosts CD Cover
Crimson Ghosts- Earth EP CD ~MISFITS!
-The Misfits songs lend themselves well to being done instrumentally. The Crimson Ghosts capture all The Misfits famous hooks and creepy riffs, while bringing out the melody of the originals.  This is the Crimson Ghosts latest release, a complete re-working of the classic Misfits- Earth AD  and includes 9 Misfits covers done surf/instro style.  A must for the Misfits fan!
