Releasing a Fully Fledged Example
For you to play Platform Design end-to-end

Dear community,
A couple of weeks ago we launched our first Platform Design Bootcamp, a new program aiming at transferring mastery on our methodology to expert facilitators, with the objective to make them independent in using the method and the thinking.

The approach we followed had the objective to both explain in details the way we design workshops and transfer the pillars and theoretical background of our methodology attendees, letting them understand profoundly both how to explore opportunities and how to approach the strategic design flow, when working on real project cases.

Since the focus of the program was on the methodology and not on the design outcomes, we've chosen to let students work on pre-compiled examples instead of the projects they were involved in. Today, we're releasing to the larger community one of these examples, because an end-to-end example of the application of our framework was still missing from our open source releases. We believe this release can give a serious headstart to self-learners and, more generally, to all members of our community that now counts several tens of thousands worldwide.

A new Bootcamp is already planned for January 2020 in Paris, consider joining us to become part of our certified facilitators community.

Have you discovered Yuk Hui's work yet? ↴
In a moment of confusion, crisis, and evolution, philosophers often offer a way to understand reality without falling back into errors someone confronted and overcame decades, centuries or millenias ago.
Yuk Hui's work is essential to the understanding of one of the biggest challenges of the process of overcoming modernity: Hui's work on the question concerning technology (its role in history, its relationship with humans, and much more) is precious to understanding the age we live and - therefore - the role of platforms. In this post, he responds to a recent essay from H. Kissinger - a critique of the AI society. Hopefully a door for you to the work of this amazing intellectual.
Simulation needs Reality Check when designing Token Mechanisms ↴
In this post, Stephen Young presents a list of analytic tools to devise strategies based on token mechanism design. He features a modified version of some PDT canvases combined with an approach to integrate simulation tools and reality check.

Podcasts: keep an eye on Jim Rutt Show
Former Santa Fe Institute Chairman Jim Rutt show has recently launched a new podcast that is quickly becoming the go-to place for fresh thinking about the age we live, complex systems and societal behaviors. This wee we want to suggest you two recent episodes.
The first one with the amazing expert of resilience, guerrillas, exponential warfare and geopolitics John Robb and another one with - hard to describe - Bonnitta Roy, that started on process thinking but really ended up being a profound discourse on the nature of reality through the lenses of complexity and philosophy of perception. Hard to do platforms without understanding the world you live in.
