Your regular Newsletter on Platforms

Dear Reader,
here's your latest newsletter on Platforms – brought to you by me and the awesome Platform Design Toolkit Team.

An outlook on the future of Platforms:
Discover how the world of platforms is evolving and what are the major opportunities

Last week Simone gave a speech at Haier Group headquarter in Qingdao, China for the corporate's annual opening meeting.

Haier Group is certainly one of a kind in the field of management innovation and has been well recognized as a lighthouse of organizational transformation worldwide.  RenDanHeyi—its organization model—puts Haier at the forefront of Platform-Ecosystem thinking worldwide.

Simone was invited to give a contribution to the meeting, and this week's post contains a first part of the reflections that were shared in that context: where are the markets heading? What is the role that platforms-aggregators-marketplaces could play in this context?

This week's post in brief
  • the future is about high value, complex, relational systems;
  • aggregators are set to play an increasingly important role in the economy;
  • crypto & machine learning will empower even more citizens-entrepreneurs to play a key role in parts of the economy that have so far been the realm of corporates and public institutions.
