Браћо и сестре,
Јуче смо после Свете Литургије одслужили Помен блаженопочившем Патријарху Иринеју. Нека је вечни покој и Царство Небеско нашем Патријарху!
Како рече на сахрани јуче Митрополит дабробосански г. Хризостом Патријарх Иринеј "био је бескомпромисни борац очувања части и угледа нашег народа". Подсетио је да смо пре само двадесетак дана изгубили Митрополита Амфилохија.
Али је додао: "Не малаксајмо и не губимо наду - Бог је са нама...треба да будемо храбри, зато што нас и Митрополит Амфилохије и Патријарх Иринеј сада гледају са Неба и моле се за нас."
Подсећамо вас да је блаженопочивши Патријах био администратор Западноамеричке епархије када је Манастир Св. Петка у Сан Маркосу постала Црквено-школска Општина 1986 године.

Dear brothers and sisters,
Following yesterday's Divine Liturgy we served a Small Pomen in memory of our newly departed Patriarch Irinej. May God grant him eternal rest and the Heavenly Kingdom!
As Metropolitan Chrysostom of Dabro-Bosna stated at yesterday's funeral service in Belgrade, the late Patriarch was a "fighter without compromise in protecting the honor and reputation of our people." He reminded the faithful that only ten days ago we bid farewell to Metropolitan Amphilohije.
But he added: "Let us not be fainthearted and without hope - God is with us....we should be strong knowing that Metropolitan Amphilohije and Patriarch Irinej now look at us from Heaven and are praying for us."
Just a reminder that the late Patriarch was Administrator of the Western American Diocese when the St. Petka Monastery became a Church-School Congregation, a parish church, in 1986.
