Thank you so much to our Erie Families for all the awesome resources you gave kids to work with as they EnginEARed their instruments! Although we are set with many items, we could still use the following:
  • cardboard tubes -  all sizes (TP rolls, paper towel, wrapping paper, all!)
  • plastic tub containers - all sizes - clean please!
  • tin cans - clean please!
  • chopsticks, popcycle sticks, drum sticks
  • bells
  • yarn and string
  • fabric
  • bling - decorative shiny things  (sequins, shiny baubles, glitter glue/paint)
Thanks for helping us make melodious magnificent masterpieces!
Items can be dropped off at the front office or brought down to the STEM Lab donation bin.  Please contact Kristina Stem (stem_kristina@svvsd.org) for questions.

Erie Uplink, a local organization that supports Erie families with resources to fulfill their basic needs, has asked for our help. We are going to work together to create toiletry kits for their Tiger Packs. Tiger Packs are sent home with students (at their parent's request) and contain non-perishable food items (and in this case, travel sized toiletry items) to help supplement a student's healthy diet over long weekends and holiday breaks.

We will be collecting the items from February 13th-February 23rd, and then assembling the kits after school in the library, on February 24th.

In order to keep things organized, we are asking that each grade bring a specific item, and that parents sign up for what they are bringing. Toiletries should be travel sized, and hotel samples are great, just as long as they are unused! If you happen to have extra samples please feel free to bring them in as well! All items should be left in the collection bin at the front of the school.

Note*** Since the 3rd graders already did their "Day of Caring" and collected items for other organizations, we limited the request for that grade to gallon sized plastic bags. If you have a child in that grade, and would still like to participate, please feel free to sign up anywhere you see a slot!

Cash donations for any items that we do  not receive are also appreciated!

Thank you so much for your support, and please consider bringing your children and meeting with us on Friday, February 24th to help assemble the kits. It should go pretty quickly, but will be a great way to show our children the spirit of giving back to our community!

I AM HERE!
Erie Elementary, along with all St. Vrain Valley Schools, is striving to increase student attendance.  Our goal is for students to attend school every day they are healthy enough to do so. Each week, Mrs. Eker will report which grade level has the highest attendance rate.  That grade will receive extra recess.  Our year to date attendance rate is 96.4%.  Our goal this year is 97%.
Check our progress on the chart located by the fish tank in the front office!

REPLAY IT APP
Have you taken lots of pictures of your child's class or an EES events?  Download the Replay It app, choose Erie Elementary as your school, and upload your 3 or 4 favorite pictures per event.  This goes directly to our yearbook coordinator so she can include lots of pictures in our yearbook!  A super easy way to make sure every event and class is included.
We will continue to allow birthday treats at school this year.  Please note that snacks must be small, store bought items that can be eaten in 10 minutes or less.  Please check with your classroom teacher for allergies.
