Erie Elementary Homework Policy

Erie Elementary has created a homework policy that aligns with current educational research. Each student should read or be read to every night for 15 minutes in grades K-2 and at least 25 minutes in grades 3-5. In addition, grade level teachers will assign homework that is meaningful, authentic, engaging, and can be completed with minimal adult assistance.

Homework by Grade Level

Half Day kindergarten: Weekly practice of skills taught at school

Full dayK-1: Occasional standards-based projects
Grade 2: Math review and occasional standards- based projects

3-5: Practice for mathematical concepts, responding to literature, and occasional standards based projects,

REPLAY IT APP

Have you taken lots of pictures of your child's class or an EES events? Download the Replay It app, choose Erie Elementary as your school, and upload your 3 or 4 favorite pictures per event. This goes directly to our yearbook coordinator so she can include lots of pictures in our yearbook! A super easy way to make sure every event and class is included.

We will continue to allow birthday treats at school this year. Please note that snacks must be small, store bought items that can be eaten in 10 minutes or less. Please check with your classroom teacher for allergies.
