Weekly News

Dear friends,

This Sunday is the 29th in Ordinary Time.

In the Gospel reading from Luke, Jesus teaches his disciples about justice. He contrasts the example of an unjust judge with God the just judge. We are very fortunate to live in a society with a legal system that, on the whole, tries to do the right thing by everyone. Not all of our brothers and sisters around the world are so fortunate. But we all live under the law of God, who will judge the living and the dead. That's not a legal system, but reality - and it's faith in Jesus Christ that matters in that court.

Next Sunday (27th of October) Jonathan our Bishop will be coming to administer the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. Please make every effort to be there to support our candidates and welcome our Bishop!

On the 24th October we will be holding a Community Harvest Afternoon Tea click here for more details. Offers of homemade cakes and help on the day would be greatly appreciated.

See you on Sunday!
Fr Guy
