Weekly News

Dear friends,

This Sunday is the 28th in Ordinary Time.

In the Gospel reading for Luke, Jesus heals ten people from Leprosy and sends them to the priest so that their healing can be verified and they can be included in society again, no longer unclean outcasts. However, only one of them returns to thank Jesus for this miracle and we are told that prostrated himself at Jesus' feet in an act of worship. This helps us see how our thanksgiving and worship in church is a response to the ways in which God can heal and forgive and change our lives.....if we let him!

Thank you to all those who brought food or cash donations for the work of Euston Foodbank, we raised over £300 and a car load of food.

This week in Sundays@11, Fr Guy will be leading a session on (St) John Henry Newman who will be Canonised by Pope Francis on Sunday in Rome. It is an exciting event for us as he is the first English person to be made a Saint for over fifty years. Newman was also influential in the Oxford Movement and the Catholic revival in the Church of England of which we are proud inheritors at Old St Pancras. Click here to read more about it

On the 24th October we will be holding a Community Harvest Afternoon Tea click here for more details. Offers of homemade cakes and help on the day would be greatly appreciated.

See you on Sunday!
Fr James
