Snow Storm Policy Is In Effect
The snow storm policy is now in effect and for those of you who forget what that is here is the snow storm policy right out of our service agreement:
"6. Snow Storm Policy: When snowfalls of more than 15.24cm (6”) are forecast, a “quick service” will be done. A quick service of DRIVEWAYS AND ONE WALKWAY TO DOOR will be done while snow is still falling in an attempt to allow customers to still pass through their driveway. Once the snowfall ceases, full service of driveway and steps/walkway will be done. The customer understands that during a Winnipeg winter, snowstorms are inevitable and most services slow down. For this reason, Cleanr Snow can not guarantee snow removal within 24 hours during or immediately following a snow storm."
What Does This Mean And When Are We Clearing?
We will begin clearing at around noon today when the storm is predicted to be downgraded from a snow storm to just snow and blowing snow. We are expecting to take 8-10 hours to clear all properties today as travel time doubles in a snow storm. We will be shoveling while it is still snowing in an attempt to maintain a passable driveway. This means we will not be concerned with getting the driveway cleared edge to edge and everything looking perfect, as it will just snow and blow over within minutes of us leaving. We will clear again tomorrow during the storm, if the storm should continue. We will do a final touch up on Thursday to make sure everything is edge to edge and cleared properly. Call outs for missed spots and drifting snow will not be serviced until the storm has ceased and we have done our final round of clean ups, as the snow storm policy is in effect. ANY AREAS OTHER THAN DRIVEWAYS AND WALKWAYS WILL NOT BE CLEARED DURING THIS STORM.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please reply directly to this email.
