NGWA Presents National Groundwater Awareness Week

March 5-11, 2017, is National Groundwater Awareness Week! Presented by the National Groundwater Association, the designated week aims to educate well owners, the general public, teachers and students about the importance of groundwater and how it impacts our ecosystem.

If you would like to support NGWA in this important public education initiative, the organization has provided numerous resources. Visit the NGWA Web site for sample news releases, radio spots, and educational tools and information.

The GWPC has made these resources available on our Web site as well, and encourages those interested in educating others to take a look at our Groundwater Report to the Nation, which highlights some of the more prevalent threats to groundwater, shares success stories, and make recommendations for improved groundwater protection and awareness.
