Dear Florida CEC Members,
It is my hope that you are doing well, and in great spirits. During the past few weeks, the FCEC board had to make some tough decisions. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainties of the pandemic, we made the decision to cancel our annual conference that was scheduled for October 22nd-23rd in Daytona Beach, FL.
Please know that we did not take this decision lightly, and explored all options before reaching a final decision to cancel the conference. We were looking forward to learning with each of you, but we did not want to risk anyone’s health and wellness, given the outbreak of the new variant of the COVID‐19 virus. If you have not yet received a refund for your hotel and registration costs, please email fcecleadership@gmail.com.
We are in the process of exploring all options for bringing professional learning and content to our members including potential web-based platforms, webinars, or postponing your presentation/content until next year’s conference. In the meantime, please take a moment to complete the following membership survey: https://forms.gle/r5sHwD7yNCQxbAFt8
As more information becomes available, we will reach out to you.
Although COVID-19 has presented us with unique challenges, I am confident we will continue to persevere! On behalf of the FCEC Executive Board, we appreciate your continued support during this time. We look forward to celebrating with you in Orlando, FL, for our upcoming 100th year anniversary.
Sincerely,
Jaqua’ Hunte
FCEC President
