Many Journeys Begin on the Farm

Cul2vate has the extreme privilege of hosting dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers at our sites. Some people come to bring their families and give their children the gift of service. Some join us to feed their green thumb. Still others come who need sustenance for their families; they work along side us and then bring produce home to their household in need. Students come who need service hours and find they feel the presence of God once there and decide to continue their experience with us well past any school-mandated requirements.  Groups of volunteers from different churches spend the day serving and leave feeling fulfilled. For each of these volunteers, we are thankful. While we rely on them for weeding, harvesting and maintaining what God has created, we also find that we rely on them for spiritual growth. Our community of volunteers has shown us how great God’s love is and how strong we are when we work through Him together. We are so grateful for each of them, and hope more will come to us to walk in Christ on our farm.

4000 Pounds of Food Donated!

Yes! You read that correctly! As of June, we have donated over FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS of food to those in need! Partnering with OneGenAway, Graceworks, Nashville Food Project, and other charities, we have been able to donate fresh produce to those who truly need it and who do not have access to it! Watch as this number grows and we continue to feed families in need.

Tomatoes Are Coming!

We currently have 800 tomato plants being carefully nurtured, monitored, and babied in our greenhouses! If you're like us, you cannot resist the taste of a fresh-off-the-vine tomato whether in a salad, on a sandwich, or with just some salt and pepper. We can't wait to bring them to market in the next couple of weeks. Get ready for the freshest tomatoes in Tennessee!  In the meantime, come on out for greens, squash, cucumbers, and onions!
Mark your calendar for our first Family Work Day on the Farm on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10:00-12:00 a.m. Sign up to reserve your family's spot here

Growing Food AND Growing People

Our Cul2vators will begin their formal training in July! Stay tuned for updates on the curriculum and their progress.

Your Support is Crucial

You can always support us in many ways.

Visit local restaurants such as Amerigo’s, Green Hills Grille, and Subculture Urban Cafe. Tell them you are patronizing them because you know they purchase fresh produce from Cul2vate!

Join us on Mondays at Carpenters Square Farmers Market and on Thursdays at Farmin’ in the Hall. For each pound of produce you purchase, we donate the same amount to those in need.  Plus, you’ll get to experience some of the freshest produce around and eat local doing it!

You can also even choose us when you shop on Amazon! Choose Cul2vate and shop via www.smile.amazon.com by clicking this link, and Amazon will donate to us with each purchase.
