The Voice of Volunteering
December 2016

CEO's Message

Gemma Rygate

As the year draws to a close I thank you all for working with The Centre for Volunteering to support, promote, and grow volunteering in NSW in 2016.

This year we've celebrated 10 years of the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards, which culminated in the state ceremony on December 2. I stated during the ceremony that in our minds every volunteer is a winner; giving of themselves to make the community a better place and enriching the lives of others. We congratulate all 100,000 volunteers recognised through the award program this year.

Just a few reminders as we move into the new year. If you're a member - individual or organisation and have not completed the membership survey we ask that you do so at your earliest convenience. Your feedback will help us deliver relevant services to you and your organisation. If you've not received this e-mail, please reach out to our Membership and Client Services team who will be able to assist.

The details for our first workshops and networking events for 2017 can be found below as well as access to the professional Development calendar for the first half of 2017 on our website.

The Centre for Volunteering will be closed from Monday, 19 December and will reopen on Monday 9 January 2017.

Have a happy and safe Christmas and we look forward to working with you in the new year.

Regards,

Gemma
