CEO's Message

Gemma Rygate

We are past the half way mark of the 20 Regional Ceremonies for the 10th Annual NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards. It's been humbling to meet and hear the stories of volunteers who've been recognised so far.
For more details on the regional ceremonies that have been held, visit our Volunteer Awards News hub or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN for the latest news.

If you're not aware, the NSW Government has released the draft Human Services Agreement - a standard form contract for engagement with NGOs. You can review the draft on their website and if you wish, you can provide feedback via email no later than COB, Tuesday, October 4.

Moving into October, The Centre of Volunteering will be running a variety of events - from our professional development workshops to networking events. For more details, see below and make sure you don't miss out on these valuable sessions.

Recognising more volunteers than ever at the 10th Annual NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.

This year the awards will celebrate more than 100,000 volunteers – a remarkable increase on the almost 10,000 acknowledged last year. The awards and their recipients have featured in print, radio and TV stories that have highlighted their impact on all parts of our community - schoolsrefugees, disadvantaged, teaching life skills, advocating social issues and so much more!
We thank Principal Government Partner - Department of Family and Community Services, Principal Corporate Partner, ClubsNSW, and Supporters Bupa Aged Care & Etchcraft for their continuing support.
