Ideas4Action Newsletter

January 5, 2018
During this first week of 2018 we have already seen just how vital it is that we work to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - as political conflict, poverty, and extreme weather impact our fellow global citizens. While these issues can seem overwhelming, the positive energy and excitement that each of you provides should give us all hope that together we can achieve lasting peace, equality, and prosperity. Thank you for your own pioneering efforts, and let's make the 2018 Ideas for Action Competition the tipping point in the global effort to achieve the SDGs.

Updates:
  • I4A is on LinkedIn: Based on the success of our social media efforts thus far, the Ideas4Action Team has created a new Ideas4Action LinkedIn page, as well as an official I4A LinkedIn group. Sharing ideas and creating a supportive network of young innovators is crucial to our efforts at I4A, and we believe that LinkedIn is an ideal platform to foster this networking spirit. Please follow the page, join our group, and share your thoughts, experience, and knowledge with your fellow innovators.
  • Server Maintenance: Due to routine server maintenance, our third party application portal will be briefly unavailable for approximately 12 hours starting Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 am UTC. You will not be able to access the application portal during this time. This will have no affect on those applications we have already received and once the site is back up, you can submit your application anytime before the February 28th deadline. As soon as we confirm that the portal has reopened, we will make a general announcement across our social media platforms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
As always we would like to thank everyone for your passion, dedication, and support.

Sincerely,

Ideas for Action Team

Mbele is envisioning with the SDG4 goal: ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Mbele platform will promote lifelong learning by providing avenue for our users to learn new things at every stage of their life. Gender, location, religion, political affiliation, or financial status is not a barrier on the platform as most of the service provided will be free for all and paid service will be very affordable to an average Nigerian."
