Hi <<First Name>>

What exactly is "fitness?"

It's certainly not measured only in how far you can run or how many pulls ups you can do. It's much more than that.

Sure, activity is important. But so is how well you eat and what you eat. Attitude and outlook on life are also essential. So are the quality of the relationships you have. That's why at Eureka Parks and Rec, we have more than just exercise equipment and fitness classes. We go way beyond that.

To that end, one of the best family friendly fitness event of the entire year is coming soon to Eureka.

Reserve July 30, 2016 for Get Out and Play Day ("GOPD")

Last year, over 6,000 people came to a huge variety of FREE events all over town. Activities included Madaket cruises, historical walking tours, Zumba and Yoga in the park, single person and team competitions and many more. We even hosted a free concert and BBQ in Sequoia Park. (If you'd like to take a look back at 2015's GOPD events, follow this link.)

Why are we telling you this now?

Well aside from wanting you to save the date and plan to attend, we're looking for sponsors to help make this year's GOPD even better than last year's. If your business would like to get involved in any level, please ontact Ashley Taylor at (707) 441-4374ataylor@ci.eureka.ca.gov or you can go to this page on our blog.

If you’re not on track like so many others, you need to attend the May Willpower 101 session of Willpower 101 on May 28, 2016 from 10AM to noon at the Adorni.

Our topic will be “Circles of Support.” We’ll identify the people and environments supportive to us – and those that are counterproductive. And come up with some simple steps to get past them (or get more support).

As always, it will be educational but uplifting; fun and engaging. Bring friends.

Register here  at our new easier-to-use site (or just show up). If you just show up, please allow about 15 minutes for registration so be there by 9:45.
