Today’s a big day here at The 74 — and for hundreds of nonprofit news organizations across the country. It’s #GivingTuesday (or as we like to call it: #GivingNewsDay).

Giving Tuesday is a day that encourages people to give back in whatever ways they can. And it just so happens to land in the middle of our end-of-year fundraising campaign, which is why I’m writing to you.

We’re aiming to reach $25,000 before the end of 2022 — and we have a lot of ground to cover if we are to hit that goal. We’re hoping for a #GivingTuesday boost, and hope that today’s the day you’ll join us.

The money we raise over between now and December 31 will be critical to our ability to continue reporting on the education issues that matter most to you.
