Easy-Peasy Pecan Pie Squares

I absolutely love pecan pie. Here's the quickest take I've ever seen on the time-honored classic:
Ingredients:
  • 1 - 8oz can Pillsbury Original Cresent Rolls
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
Directions:
  • Preheat overn to 350 degrees F
  • Line a 9/13 dish with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray
  • Unroll the dough and press into the bottom and up the sides of the pan, pinching the seams together.
  • Bake for 7 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients. Pour and spread over partially cooked crescent rolls and bake for an additional 18-20 minutes.
  • Remove from over and allow to cool for 1 hour before cutting and serving.

About the Book

Falling in love with a man who’s been dead for over a hundred years … is it fate or just bad timing?

Miracle Johnson knows two things for certain: First, she grew up without a father, thanks to his obsession with The River Maiden, an 1860s Mississippi Riverboat. And second, the original owner of the River Maiden, Matthew McCade, was the devil-incarnate himself, a man who took advantage of the masses, pandered to their weaknesses, and—by reputation—bedded every woman in site.

Then why, when she’s accidentally transported back in time, and into the arms of this man she hates so much, does Miracle find herself unable to resist his legendary charm. Struggling to acclimate herself in a time and place totally foreign to her, she vows to rid herself of the handsome riverboat owner, only to find herself in his bed, time after time.

Also Available ... my first foray into alien romance/fantasy. Can this career soldier save his heart from an alien invasion?
