A big welcome to our new intern, Lauren (see her smiling face below)! She is completing her studies of Therapeutic Recreation (TR) at Aurora University, and will be spending the Winter and Spring season with us for her senior internship. Her first week with us she jumped right into Bocce and Cooking, along with a few individual workouts.Nothing like hitting the ground running! We look forward to having Lauren learn all about KSRA and the families we serve.
This season we are will be offering a Parent’s Night Out program in Sycamore. Families are welcome to register for both! Both programs offer games, crafts, gym activities and a fun snack. Rochelle also offers a time to swim in their pool. Our first PNO in Sycamore is this Friday, January 28. Registration is open until Wednesday, January 26, and there are spots still available. Go online or call the office to get in on the fun!
As we continue to work through COVID and cold and flu season, we ask all our families and staff to be diligent with their health. If you don’t feel well, please don’t attend program. For all our programs, we ask that participants do their own health evaluations based on the CDC guidelines. We also expect all staff to do the same. The safety of our participants, their families, and our staff is of the highest importance and we do not want to add to the spread of anything. We will continue with all program cleaning protocols and mask wearing in all programs. I know we have all heard how fluid a situation this is; I want our families to know that I am working hard to stay on top of every new piece of news that may affect our programs and services.
