Thank you to those who attended the first general meeting! We hope you enjoyed the encouraging words from both the Dean and the Associate Dean. It is important to know that as Ambassadors of SJSU College of Engineering, you are a significant example for younger students. You are there to tell them that they have the ability to pursue engineering, and are someone they can relate to as students. Ambassadors have the opportunity to play a very critical role in encouraging these younger students that they can take this path.
In our first general meeting, we went over what EAP is, discussed the different types of events we do, and upcoming events that Ambassadors may volunteer for. For those who were unable to attend, attached here is the agenda of our first meeting.

The College of Engineering (CoE) will be hosting it's 2015 Fall Open House. This is an opportunity for the CoE to showcase all of its departments. Labs and projects will be on display for admitted and prospective students to guide their decision on whether to study at SJSU College of Engineering. Volunteers will be helping with general tasks to help the Open House run smoothly.
EAP Volunteers will be helping with Math and Science Night at Thornton Junior High School. Ambassadors will conduct a 15-minute classroom presentation with a hands-on activity. There will be 6-8 groups rotating through the classroom throughout the night. Along with the presentation and activity, this is an opportunity for Ambassadors to be SJSU Representatives and share their experience with these students who are thinking about pursuing engineering.
