Prayers for the members of Claremont UMC.

In our prayers...

"Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness; answer me in your righteousness." ~ Psalm 143:1
Dear Friends,

Please continue to hold Andy Hubbard close in your prayers. Andy had major surgery on August 27. We pray for Candy Hubbard, and for Andy during this anxious time and as Andy recovers. We pray that his surgery was successful and for God's healing touch on Andy, for God's comfort and strength for both Andy and Candy.

We recently learned that one of our long-time members, Lila Haage, died recently. Lila, and daughter, Lori, were active members of Claremont UMC. For the past several years, they been unwillingly absent. Lila had helped with the Refugee Resettlement ministry of Claremont UMC for many years. We were sad to hear of her death. We hold Lori, the whole Haage family, and all of Lila's loved ones in our prayers as they grieve Lila's death. We pray that they would know and feel God's loving and comforting presence with them.

We hold Dick Bruner in our prayers as he remembers Vivian on what would have been their 68th Wedding Anniversary this month. May he continue to feel God's loving and comforting presence with him as he fondly remembers Vivian and all of their years together.

We continue to pray for Christine Rincon as she continues to recover from the car accident she was in a few weeks ago. May she know God's healing touch an comfort and strength as she continues recovering.

We pray for Henry Jefferson, and who are devastated by the targeting of Black men, women, and children by police. We pray, too, for all who suffer from oppression, and violence due to the racist systems and beliefs, that God would show up and bring about righteousness and justice. We know that God is working for Good in this world, that God is working for liberation of all who are oppressed and discriminated against. Just as Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to his disciples, we know that the Holy Spirit remains with all of us as well, and may we all work with the Holy Spirit to eradicate and dismantle racism.

We lift up Clay and Julia Barrett as they struggle with the "Safer at Home" regulations. We lift up all who are struggling financially, emotionally, and mentally due to "Safer at Home" orders, isolation, and job loss during the pandemic. May we all know God's loving presence with us, and may we all feel God's healing touch on our hearts, souls, and minds.

Please continue to be in prayer for Fred and all of the loved ones of Joan Roth as they grieve Joan's death. We know that God is with us in the midst of our suffering and pain, offering us love and comfort, and we are praying that the whole Roth family, friends and loved ones feel God's loving and comforting presence with them.

We pray for all who are suffering from Covid19, and all who are caring for those with the virus. We pray that they would know God's healing presence, God's comfort and strength, and that God would restore their health and keep them healthy.

We pray for God's loving and healing touch to be upon all who are on our hearts and minds.  We ask for God's blessing to be upon each one, upon each of you reading, and upon all of our loved ones.

If you know of anyone in the CUMC family who should be lifted up in prayer and included in a future prayer email, please contact the church office either by replying to this email, or by calling (909) 624-9021.  Please be sure to have their permission to be included on the prayer list and in the prayer email.
