Please continue to be in prayer for Fred Roth, Angie, Kathy, Steve and Rich, their partners and children, and all family, friends, and loved ones of Joan Roth as they grieve Joan's death. We know that God is with us in the midst of our suffering and pain, offering us love and comfort, and we are praying that the whole Roth family, friends and loved ones feel God's loving and comforting presence with them.
Please hold Andy Hubbard close in your prayers. Andy will undergo major surgery on August 27. We pray for his surgeons, for Candy Hubbard, and for Andy during this anxious time. We pray for a successful surgery and for God's healing touch on Andy, for God's comfort and strength for both Andy and Candy.
We continue, too, our prayers for Gaynl Trotter (Irwin Trotter's wife, sister-in-law of Gania Trotter), as she continues to heal and recover from the car accident she had recently. (Many of you may remember that Gaynl was active at Claremont UMC years ago.) We pray that Gaynl will know God's presence with her as she heals and recovers from her injuries. May she know God's healing and strength and relief from pain.
Please keep Q, Bill, and Kaitlyn Pearce, and their fur-baby, Sasha, in your prayers. Sasha has been a part of their family for 13 years and is now very ill. We pray for Sasha's health and that Sasha and her loving family will know God's loving and comforting presence with them.
We also lift up our prayers of joy and celebration with Ed and Susan Hume as they celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday! We give thanks to God for the love and life Susan and Ed have shared, for the blessings God has bestowed upon their marriage, and pray for God's continued blessings into the years ahead.
Please pray for the Staff, Children, and Families of Claremont UMC Preschool, and please pray for the students, teachers, and families of all who are soon beginning school again in the midst of this pandemic. We pray for the safety of those who have to be in a school, and we pray for the students, parents, and teachers as they strive toward education. May they all feel God's presence with them and the challenges ahead. May God lighten the challenges and keep all safe.
We pray for all who are suffering from Covid19, and all who are caring for those with the virus. We pray that they would know God's healing presence, God's comfort and strength, and that God would restore their health and keep them healthy. We lift up all who are struggling financially, emotionally, and mentally due to "Safer at Home" orders, isolation, and job loss during the pandemic. May we all know God's loving presence with us, and may we all feel God's healing touch on our hearts, souls, and minds.
We pray for all who suffer from oppression, and violence due to the racist systems and beliefs, that God would show up and bring about righteousness and justice. We know that God is working for Good in this world, that God is working for liberation of all who are oppressed and discriminated against. Just as Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to his disciples, we know that the Holy Spirit remains with all of us as well, and may we all work with the Holy Spirit to eradicate and dismantle racism.
We pray for God's loving and healing touch to be upon all who are on our hearts and minds. We ask for God's blessing to be upon each one, upon each of you reading, and upon all of our loved ones.
If you know of anyone in the CUMC family who should be lifted up in prayer and included in a future prayer email, please contact the church office either by replying to this email, or by calling (909) 624-9021. Please be sure to have their permission to be included on the prayer list and in the prayer email.
