The wonderful teacher Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us that we are just like a garden - it's up to us what seeds we water, and that the possibility is there in all our hearts to bloom, with compassion, peace and understanding. 

Sometimes it helps to sit amidst the flowers for inspiration!

Join me in tending to your garden though mindfulness and self-compassion.

A five day in person retreat for those who have completed either a mindfulness (MBSR, MBCT etc) or Mindful Self-Compassion course who want to develop or deepen their capacity to relate more kindly to themselves and their experience through an  immersive and nurturing retreat in beautiful setting. 

The retreat meets the requirement to have sat a five-day, silent, teacher-led retreat.

MBSR In Person Course 2021

Sundays 2.30pm – 5.15pm
3rd October – 5th December, (no session 31st October)

Venue: Kingston Quaker Centre, KT1 2PT

(includes orientation session and retreat day)

The 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR) taught over 9 sessions is an excellent way to gain (or refresh!) a solid foundation in mindfulness. You will learn a whole range of meditation and awareness practices that can be integrated into your daily life.
Live with more ease, more care, more freedom. 


Your mind is like a piece of land planted with many different kinds of seeds: 
seeds of joy, peace, mindfulness, understanding, and love;
seeds of craving, anger, fear, hate, and forgetfulness.

These wholesome and unwholesome seeds are always there,
sleeping in the soil of your mind.
The quality of your life depends on the seeds you water.

If you plant tomato seeds in your gardens, tomatoes will grow. Just so, if you water a seed of peace in your mind, peace will grow. When the seeds of happiness in you are watered, you will become happy. When the seed of anger in you is watered, you will become angry. The seeds that are watered frequently are those that will grow strong.
