Had a blast as a guest host on Breathless, Bubbles and Books for a live Facebook chat. You can still scroll through the conversation here: https://bit.ly/2NXy0KZ Tag me so I’ll be sure to see your comment or question!
A Promise Given seems to be following in the footsteps of its predecessors and has also placed on the long list for Chanticleers’s Goethe Awards (Historical Fiction post 1750). Yay!
Special thanks to OnlineBookClub.org for this great review: “Cox’s highly descriptive writing completely pulls you into the time period. In fact, her writing style was definitely my favorite part of the book, and was the element that really pulled everything together. A Girl Like You is the perfect mix between historical fiction, romance and murder mysteries.” http://bit.ly/2NLdvAT

. . . Novel Notes of Local Lore!
I’ve had a great response so far to my invitation to write YOUR family member’s story in my weekly blog, Novel Notes of Local Lore. If you have a cool story about a parent, grandparent or strange ancestor, contact me! I’ll do all the writing – you just have to do the talking! It’s been really fun so far! Some of you have asked whether these stories need to have a Chicago connection…the answer is: no! (Special exception!)
