A Last Look at Summer  . . .
Summer is usually a light time in the book world, with agents, editors, and publishers— not to mention the lowly authors—traveling from here to there and trying to catch up on an ever-growing TBR pile.
Between a massive road trip to Niagara-On-The-Lake and back through Buffalo and Cleveland with my husband and three kids, a week at my parents’ farm, and getting a new dog, I was able to squeeze in only a couple of books this summer, but I’d love to hear what caught your attention these past few months!

That being said, fall is just around the corner, and some exciting things are in the works, including some new BIG giveaways, so stay tuned!

Meanwhile. . . In The News!
Nothing better than hanging out at one of Chicago's indie bookstores, The Book Cellar, to hear Karen Abbott speak about her new book, The Ghosts of Eden Park.  Also on deck was the amazing, Renee Rosen!

Loved being a guest of This Old Book’s local bookclub!  Thanks for inviting me, ladies!

Don’t forget!  Invite me to Yours!

Excited to share that an excerpt of A VEIL REMOVED was printed in The Coil, literary magazine!  Didn’t they choose a great photo to depict Highbury?  Read it here:
And speaking of A VEIL REMOVED, here’s the latest review in from Readers Favorite:

"History fans will fall in love all over again with this latest installment in a compelling historical drama to rival the likes of Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice. A VEIL REMOVED marks another triumph in a gorgeously romantic, but also seriously compelling mystery series."

And in other breaking news, I've been invited to be a guest author at the Carl Sandburg Awards dinner at the University of Illinois, Chicago.  Host for the evening will be Bill Kurtis, and George R.R. Martin will be interviewed by NPR’s Scott Simon!  Coming up in October – I’ll be sure to post pictures!

And, as promised, you can now pre-order your copy of THE PULPWOOD QUEENS CELEBRATE 20 YEARS!   Click here: to get your copy this December!

The book is an anthology of essays, including one by yours truly entitled, “The Ghosts of Jefferson.”  Order your copy now!
Lastly . . . A Plea!

If you’ve enjoyed my books, please consider writing a review on Amazon or Goodreads or Bookbub (or all 3 – just copy and paste!)  It really helps me!   It doesn’t have to be long – just one sentence will do the trick, such as: “Great book!”  “Fun read” or “Enjoyed it!”  Any little bit helps!

Thank You!
