SWINGIN' SUMMER EVE
July 17 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Community Festival with food, face-painting, games, used book sale, and live music. (There is a charge for food.)

Location: Cromwell Park, 18030 Meridian Avenue N

Creme Tangerine, a Beatles Tribute band, at 7pm
For over a decade Creme Tangerine has been thrilling audiences in the Pacific Northwest with its unique approach to performing the music of the Beatles and favorite classic rock/pop hits. Hailing from Seattle, WA, and including five professional musicians, Creme Tangerine performs for thousands each year and creates a dynamic live music experience filled with energy, fun, humor, and spontaneity.

This program is presented by the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council.
Support is provided, in part, by the City of Shoreline and City of Lake Forest Park.

We Need 1 Gallon Size Nursery Pots!
For 2020 neighborhood bulb sale - we need dozens of them! Drop off under apple tree near parking area at 15740 2nd Ave NW, or anywhere at 115 NW 159th (same property) near Highland Terrace Elementary.
If you have a large quantity, email Fran for pickup. Size: approx 6.5” diameter x 6.25” depth (called one gallon actually but holds 0.664 gallons of potting soil). Highland Terrace Neighborhood Association will be doing another, expanded bulb sale in early spring of 2020.
National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6, 2019
Register your National Night Out Party by July 23.
Knowing your neighbors is the first step in crime prevention.  
How to Plan a Successful National Night Out Party on Your Block...
Register your block party by July 23 for August 6 parties.  Here is National Night Out information including a registration form to be emailed or taken to City Hall. 
Why register:  your party will be scheduled for a visit from City Staff and/or Shoreline Police; your party is entered into a drawing for a visit by Shoreline Fire; you will get useful information to share with guests and a NNO host gift.
Note:  if you are planning a road closure for your party, you must submit a permit for road closure by July 23.  Not all streets can be closed.  For more information call 206-801-2500 before you submit your application.

Volunteer Work Parties: There are several Saturday volunteer work parties in July and August which can be viewed on the Shoreline City Calendar.

Karaoke in the Park, July 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 5:30pm to 8pm

Lunchtime Concert Series on Tuesdays from noon to 1pm
Dates: July 9, 16, 23, 30 and August 6, 13 
Bring family and friends to one of Shoreline’s beautiful parks for a concert at lunchtime. 

Shoreline Walks
Explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in Shoreline. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meet-up location.  Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.


Shoreline Farmers Market
The market will be open every Saturday through October 5 from 10am to 3pm. Shoreline Farmers Market offers a variety of fresh Washington produce and organic meats. Showcase of local artisan crafts, food trucks and music. The popular PoP Club is back for it’s 4th season to introduce kids to seasonal eating and the magic of produce. The Shoreline Farmers Market is operated by the Shoreline Farmers Market Association, a local non-profit organization.  Get more information on the Market's Facebook page and website.


Volunteer Opportunities with HTNA

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us for more details.
  • Join the HNTA Board!  Build community by organizing events, communicating information to residents, and making improvements around the neighborhood. 
  • Get together with neighbors on your block to plan for emergencies, form a Block Watch, and organize a National Night Out block party on August 6, 2019.
  • We are starting to organize informal meet-ups to facilitate people with similar interests getting to know each other.  If you would like to organize one - let us know!
