On Tuesday evening July 25 about 40 Greenwood Ave N. Neighbors & Friends gathered in driveways for a progressive Dessert Potluck & S'mores-Making event. It was a great way for nearby neighbors to get to know one another better, share some treats and enjoy time together by a fire pit. This gathering served as a warm-up for the larger Neighborhood Night Out celebrated by the larger HTNA. Perhaps next year, other small neighborhood cluster will choose the Tuesday evening before NNO to connect with their nearby neighbors as these events some call Micro-hood gatherings.

Utensils and dishes from NNO wish to be reunited with their owners!

What's next for HTNA in 2017-2018?
As HTNA enters the planning stage for next year we welcome suggestions and feedback on the events, the notifications, and the fundraisers. We host warm weather gatherings including Fun and Games in the Park and the National Night out block party, as well as cool weather fun such as Bingo for Books and Doggies and Donuts. Fundraisers include the May Plant Sale and book collections for the Swingin' Summer's Eve sale. All year we promote donations to the food pantry at Shoreline Community College. Our communications include information posted in our monthly newsletters, on our web page, our Facebook page, and on Nextdoor, and we make efforts to invite relevant and engaging speakers to the monthly meetings. Comments and suggestions that would influence planning for the 2017-2018 year is highly encouraged. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can fill out our interest survey.
